Discovering the source of the River Sorgue

Located at the gateway to the Luberon in the Vaucluse, the Hôtel du Poète is set in a charming village that captures the very best of Provence. Fontaine-de-Vaucluse is the ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding wonders of nature. Just 800 metres from the hotel, discover the Source of the Sorgue, otherwise known as the “Gouffre deFontaine-de-Vaucluse.” As Europe's largest spring, watching the water gushing forth is truly a sight for sore eyes, while imagining the chasm's depth of over 400 metres is enough to make your head spin.
